I always wondered what would I be eager to buy if I was rich.
Unfortunately, I'm not, so I just settle for an imaginary closet on Polyvore.
Here's my spring selection of the week, inspired from the runway.
If you've been following my instagram account here, you may have noticed that i've been positively surprised by a new kind of prints at zara : cow prints.
It all started with the Givenchy pre-fall collection, and the Burberry FW 13, where we could see cow and giraffe prints (very similar indeed), and now, I can't stop seing it everywhere on every fashion blog! Zara, again, you are my god. And right now i'm thinking into buying those sleeve cow print shorts, well played, well played zara...

I usually don't post about men's wear on my blog, but this time I really had to.
I've been in love with brand Acne since the famous atacoma wedges, and been following their shows and new from now on. (And still actually looking for a pair of these atacoma haha)
For their SS13 Menswear collection, Acne collaborated with Italian hat manufacturer Borsalino.
Yep, that's right, these gorgeous vintage croisière look-alike hats, for men!
And you can have a guess that I'll be this summer's hot piece for both men and women. Mainly because we usually wear panama hats during the hot season, and Acne succesfully refreshed them.
Chic, fashionabe, majestic, with a touch of lightness and bright colours. I can already see myself on the mediterranean seaside.
And in order to communicate about it, what else than luxurious braque dogs?
These dogs, with graceful allure, were shot by photographes William Wegman to promote the latest collection.
A sneak peak into the Celia Birtwell x Uniqlo collection! Iconic figure of the artistic scene, and worldwide famous for her cleverly assembled prints from the 60's and 70's, Celia Birtwell recently collaborated with japanese brand Uniqlo for a very retro and fuzzy collection. Available in stores since march 21st, the collection ranges iconic prints on tshirts, tunic vests, shirts, cropped pants, bags and much more.. Shop here If you are in Paris and come across the Uniqlo store, here's the deal : from 30€ of purchase, you get a nailpatch manucure out of Celia's prints!
Already adopted by fashion bloggers, gorgeous match by Dearestdeer
I know, you'll say, there's a bit of a Barbara Bui look-alike, but I couldn't resist sharing with you these amazing shots of the autumn winter 13 Surface to Air collection.
Minimal, boyish , chic and high fashion, that's what I say.
A bit of an intergalactic touch, and a clever mixture of patterns, raw cuts and strong textures; all along with prints, reversed details, palying with sharp shades of grey blue and black. Surface to Air understood it all about next winter's tendency.
A +1 for the holigraphic cap, and the bomber.
It appears that we're just getting an endless supply of beautiful pre-fall collections! A few more that were released have caught my eye and I'd like to share a few looks with you. The McQueen signature has always been inspired by anglican religious medieval styles, and designer Sarah Burton wanted to evoke purity and humility through this pre fall collection. Hence the velvet textures, parish priest silhouettes, plain white cotton dresses, or nun's wimple look-alike dresses. Even thought rigorous purity is shown here, we can seem to highlight a slight aristocratic demoniac essence with red and black dresses with huge sweepings of velvet. Those clothes look like they have a monumental quality -long, lean, minimal and architectural- but classic. They may have been extravagant, but they lack ornaments, as if 2013 was a chilly thus minimaly-vulgarised version of religion. Are times evolving to simplicity by coming back to the roots?
Topshop's so called 'capsule' collection , Unique, just had an unexpected twist today at the London Fashion Week. In fact, Topshop's unfamous funky , non-chic, uber-themed Lady Gaga-like shows sees his Unique fall runway go minimal. Shapes, colours are all grown up and high fashion. What happened? It is clear that under Kate Phelan, the new creative control of the brand, Unique is turning sophisticated. Fall collection is mixing whole new textures, patterns, colours, prints and sizes, a very fashion mix n match far away from the Topshop image. Here's my favourite snapshots of the show.
Next fall, it'll be all about maxi-coats, pastel colours, sequins, silk, fur and leathery-plastic skirts. I think this collection is, not only close to high fashion but can be also worn straight off the runway, that's a plus one for Unique. Quite surprised also that Cara Delevingne opened the show. Isn't she overbooked? (A surprise i found on the internet, Unique backstage Harlem Shake haha..)
Surprise!
